The first nordic short animation pitching event Nordic Animation Pitch will held in Helsinki, Finland 15.-17.5.2023.

In 2022 Finnish Animation Guild started to develop a new program for short animations from Nordic countries. The aim for the program is to create a place for filmmakers and investors to meet.

The program is looking for applicants with new ideas for short animations. In the program there are two categories: In development and In production. You can apply with an idea or script. The project can still be in the beginning or it may be developed further on. You can apply alone or as a director-producer pair. 

Based on application, the jury will select the projects that will be invited to Helsinki to attend Nordic Animation Pitching. Every Nordic country will have their own minimum for participants to make sure that there are attendees from every Nordic country. All the travel costs and accommodation will be covered by Nordic Animation Pitching -program. The participant will get a developing session with a pitching coach for their project before the Nordic Animation Pitching -event where they will pitch their project to the jury and audience. One of the projects will win a financial prize for the production of their animation short film.
