Finnish Animation Guild celebrates the International Animation Day on Friday 28.10. in Central Library Oodi’s Maijansali with two free animation screenings.

16.30 – a screening with International animation association’s ASIFA’s short animations around the world.

18.30 – charity screening for Ukraine. The screening will have Ukrainian short animations and during the screening there is a possibility to donate money for the victims of the war.

ASIFA created the International Animation Day (IAD) in 2002, honoring the birth of animation, recognized as the first public performance of projected moving images: Emile Reynaud’s Theatre Optique in Paris, on the 28th October 1892.
